Five Ways to Indulge While Watching Theatre from Home

Five Ways to Indulge While Watching Theatre from Home

While it’s certainly not the same as being in the theatre, there are quite a lot of perks to watching a performance from your living room. Here are five benefits for you to indulge in while watching Home for the Holidays with us this winter:

1. Eat to Your Heart’s Content

No more delicately prying apart the seal on your bag of chips, or waiting for the perfect moment to crack open a can of gingerale. Slurp, crunch, devour! The cookies in the kitchen cabinet are calling for you, and no one’s going to mind the noise—there’s not even a line up holding you back. If you’re missing an old-fashioned dinner and a show, you can even enjoy a delicious meal from our dining partners at a discount.

2. Dress How You Want

Whether you plan to dress to the nines, lounge in your pajamas, or get the family dolled up in matching sweaters, we’re not here to pass judgement. Simply pick viewing attire that gets you excited for a night with Gateway!

3. Let the Kids Be Kids

As wonderful as it is to see a child in awe of a performance, we all know there are times when the little ones aren’t feeling up for the theatre. Let them enjoy the magic of musicals without having to worry about temper tantrums, escapee toddlers or loudly posed questions.

4. Sit Front Row Centre

We can practically guarantee no one tall is going to be sat in front of you ;).

5. Sing Along With Us

Perhaps the most wonderful part of theatre from home – sing your heart out, in or out of tune, to your favourite musical numbers (If you’re feeling flexible, you can dance along to the dance numbers, too)!

We are so excited to revisit timeless musicals with you this winter. Haven’t gotten your ticket yet? Join us for Home for the Holidays, streaming online December 18 – January 1.
